The value at Pencombe for the month of May is Wisdom.
The children chose this value, recognising how important it is when completing challenges such as SATs, the Multiplication Tables Check and the Phonics Screening.
Wisdom helps us to make good choices, stay calm under pressure and do our very best.
Pippin Class explored this through the parable of the wise and foolish builders. They told everyone how the wise builder built his house on rock so it stayed strong in the storm, while the foolish builder built on sand and it fell down.
The children re‑enacted the story brilliantly, using their construction equipment and having great fun bringing it to life.
