Whole school trip to Worcester

We had the most special week this week! The whole school went to Worcester to experience different religious places of worship.

We spent a wonderful morning at Worcester Mosque. The Imam was so incredibly welcoming towards us and we all learnt a lot about Islam.

We were so honoured to be accepted into this special place of worship and to be allowed to explore and ask questions in such an open atmosphere. The children were impeccably behaved throughout: showing great respect and good manners as usual. The Imam rewarded their patience with chocolate! It was a most worthwhile visit.

After a lovely walk along the canal, the children spent time exploring Worcester Cathedral; the home of the tomb of King John, walking the footsteps of Benedictine monks and seeing The Great West Window where many scenes from the Bible were identified by the children.

We had the best day and the children were a credit to us – we will certainly be going back!
