Tragedy at Sea

Oak Class have started their History and Geography topic, ‘Tragedy at Sea.’
The unit focuses on the Titanic — exploring its importance, tracing its journey up to the fateful night it sank, examining life on board and the different class systems, and reflecting on how this disaster shaped history.
Perhaps if the mistakes had been different by everyone involved, this magnificent vessel might have reached New York?

This week, the children explored primary and secondary sources of historical evidence, considering how reliable they are. These sources are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle — when pieced together, they help historians build a clearer picture of what truly happened. Great knowledge Oak class!
