The Space Race

In history, Oak class are learning about The Space Race.

The Space Race was a period of intense competition between the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War, focused on achieving dominance in space exploration and technology. It began in the late 1950s and lasted through the 1960s and early 1970s.

Yesterday, the children explored the fascinating topic of similarities and differences between people, events, and artefacts.

The children had brilliant discussions about The Space Race and why it was so important—politically, technologically, culturally, and scientifically. They also learned about the key figures of the era and the incredible achievements that shaped history.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect past events with their impact on the world today! 🌍✨
