It has become a new Pencombe School tradition for Pippin Class to make the advent wreaths; one for KS1 and one for KS2.

 

These will be used in assemblies throughout December to help the children focus on the values of peace, hope, faith and joy, as light dispels darkness with the birth of Christ.

 

Pippin class proudly delivered a wreath to Oak Class when it was finished and it was used to light the ‘candle of hope’ as it will be the first Sunday of Advent.

 

The children were really good at making the clay base and pushing in leaves, even some prickly holly!
