On a Thursday, the whole school become ‘Reading Buddies’. Children swap stories, or extracts from their books with other children.

 

Swapping stories or book extracts is great for children because it helps them share ideas, discover new books, and learn from each other. It encourages reading for pleasure, builds confidence in speaking and listening, and helps them understand different writing styles and perspectives. It also creates a sense of community and can spark imagination and creativity as they talk about characters, plots, and favourite moments – they love it!
