Pencombe Posada

Tonight we will begin our “Pencombe Posada”: posada means “inn” in Spanish. It is a tradition in Mexico and Latin America for Mary and Joseph figures to travel from house to house in the run up to Christmas, arriving in the village church on Christmas Eve.
We are starting a little earlier due to the end of term being on 16th December. Each class has their own Holy Family which will stay with each family for a night!
We hope that this journey through our school community will help children realise the significance of Advent and we hope that everyone will take a little time out of your busy preparations to share the “Posada Prayer” in peaceful reflection and discussion.
