Lower Hope Farm

The children in Oak class experienced the most wonderful day at Lower Hope Farm this week. They spent the morning with Tim who ran a session on being a naturalist. He taught them to recognise poisonous and non poisonous plant species, which the children separated and he discussed some of their effects on the human body. This was followed by inspecting different species of moths, that had been collected the previous night.

They then collected their own invertebrates, identifying and recording their findings.

Finally, they finished off the day with den building which is always a favourite pastime at Pencombe!

A huge thank you to Tim and to Lower Hope Farm for accommodating us!
