Lambs in Cherry Class

Yesterday, Cherry Class had some special visitors in as part of their science study on animal groups, they were able to learn more about mammals through meeting some young lambs.

Before feeding the lambs the children helped mix up the milk formula. Even though they are different sizes, both lambs are one week old, little lamb was a triplet which is why she is little, big lamb was a single. After feeding them, the children suggested names for the lambs and we had a vote. The winning names were Amy and Emily.

Everyone was so grateful to Martha’s mummy Lauren, for bringing them in and explaining how to look after them. It was such a delight to hold and touch these beautiful animals, the children truly experienced awe and wonder at the natural world.
