How Do Streamlined Shapes Reduce Water Resistance?

In science this week, Oak class carried out a scientific investigation on how streamlined shapes reduce water resistance.
Streamlined shapes reduce water resistance by minimising turbulence and drag, allowing water to flow smoothly around the object’s surface.

The children moulded different shapes before dropping them in the water and timing how long each shape took to reach the bottom. They repeated the test three times to ensure it was a fair test – well done Oak class!
