Harvest Festival

The whole school celebrated Harvest this week in church with family and friends. Harvest is particularly important here at Pencombe because we say thank you to our farmers who are an integral part of our community.
The theme was this year was “Harvest Around the World”.
Pippin class acted out the Chinese story of Stone Soup, Cherry class read out their Jewish Sukkot diary entry with actions, Willow class recited a Indian Harvest poem and Oak class told everyone about The Pilgrim Fathers and what Thanksgiving means in America and Canada.
The children filled the church with Harvest songs and prayers.

Thank you to our Pupil Council for writing to Bromyard Food Bank to let them know that, as part of our Harvest donations, we are collecting for them.
Thank you everyone who donated, it really is appreciated!
