The value for the month of September is COURAGE as chosen by the children.
September is a month of new starts, new year groups and for some children, new classrooms and schools.
Everyone needs courage for new starts because stepping into the unknown takes bravery and confidence to grow, learn, and embrace fresh opportunities.
This week it was the turn of Oak class to lead the collective worship in church. They told the story of David and Goliath – a Bible story where young David, armed only with a sling and stones, defeats the giant warrior Goliath, showing that faith, courage, and determination can overcome great challenges.
Well done Oak class.
Dear God, please help us be brave when we try new things.
Give us courage to do what is right and strength to keep going. Amen.
