Active Week

This week, the whole school took part in Active Week!

We kick-started our ‘Active Week’ off with a visit from Richard, an archery instructor at Really Rural!
The whole school were involved and loved the activity, some did so well hitting the target but it was harder than it looked!!!

Every single child took part in the Daily Mile each day!
The aim of The Daily Mile is to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of our children – regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances. The Daily Mile is a social physical activity, with children running, jogging or wheeling– at their own pace – in the fresh air with friends.
It was really special to see the children encouraging one another….we are family!

Some of the children in Oak and Willow class took part in the HMFA Rounders Tournament at Sutton Primary Academy this week. They represented the school amazingly, showing excellent sportsmanship, working well as a team and they gave it their all! Super work!

All week, the children were involved in a range of activities including tennis, kwik-cricket and rounders.

To round off Active Week, we had the best Sports Day ever organised by Adriano!
It is always one of the most exciting days of the year and is a great chance for the children to have a fun, engaging, physical activity experience, in which everyone can be celebrated for both their effort and achievements and is shared by our families!
The children did a fantastic job, and everyone had a go – they even had an ice-lolly at the end!
Thank you to Adriano for making it so special and to the families who are always there to support!

A wonderful week!
