Please find a copy of our latest Ofsted report in the Information section. We are extremely proud to say that within the report, it states that: ‘There is a strong team ethos across the school. Governors and staff are committed to seeing the school improve, and parents are appreciative of how the leadership and staff support their children. Pupil’s grow in knowledge and understanding through a well-balanced curriculum with a strong focus to improve basic skills. Teaching is effective across the school and successfully supports children with all abilities.’
One parent wrote: “My child enjoys going to school and is being looked after. If I have any worries, I speak to the teachers.”

Pencombe CE Primary School PTA

Pencombe CE Primary has a proactive PTA which is extremely well supported by hardworking, energetic committee members and generous parents, governors and friends.
The PTA willingly help at and coordinate events and support our activities throughout the year; this reflects the friendly and inclusive ethos of our school, and all the proceeds they raise helps to fund school activities and equipment. The PTA also provides valuable social opportunities for those in our school community to meet and have fun. Everyone is welcome to participate (all school families are automatically members) and creative minds are welcomed to dream up new fundraising ideas and to help decide how best to spend the money the PTA makes.

Regular posters and flyers and updates enables the PTA to keep in touch with all those involved with the school. Recent projects which have been funded by the PTA include subsidising transport for trips and swimming lessons, providing class dictionaries, trips to Christmas pantomime costs and our annual Christmas party. They have also organised a Christmas Card project, Rags2Riches bag collections and The Giving Machine.

Further information is posted on the PTA noticeboard next to the school entrance gate or ask in the school office for more details.
