Pencombe CE Primary has a proactive PTA which is extremely well supported by hardworking, energetic committee members and generous parents, governors and friends.
The PTA willingly help at and coordinate events and support our activities throughout the year; this reflects the friendly and inclusive ethos of our school, and all the proceeds they raise helps to fund school activities and equipment. The PTA also provides valuable social opportunities for those in our school community to meet and have fun. Everyone is welcome to participate (all school families are automatically members) and creative minds are welcomed to dream up new fundraising ideas and to help decide how best to spend the money the PTA raises.
The PTA provides regular updates to keep in touch with all those involved with the school. Recent projects which have been funded by the PTA include subsidising transport for trips and swimming lessons, providing class dictionaries, trips to Christmas pantomime costs and our annual Christmas party.
Further information about the PTA can be found in the Welcome to Pencombe School PTA video (02:50).
50 Club
The 50 Club allows Pencombe School parents, teachers and friends to buy numbered tickets which are entered into a regular draw. When the tickets are drawn, a percentage of the profit is given as the prize, with the remainder going to PTA funds. This is a really easy way to support the school, with a good chance of winning something for yourself!

Rags 2 Riches Bag Collections
Rags 2 Riches 4 Schools provides us with an opportunity to raise money whilst also helping the environment. Throughout the year we will arrange collections for good quality, re-usable (clean, dry and wearable) clothes and accessories. The clothing gets weighed and we are paid per kilo – the current price is 40p per kilo / £400 per tonne (correct as at Oct 2020). The clothing then gets recycled by being shipped to different countries to be sold on.
2021 collections will take place on the following dates – please ensure your bags are at the bottom of the school ramp by 9.00am.
