Yesterday, we had a visit from Mayor and Mayoress Franklin of Bromyard, along with previous Mayor, Suzette Brunsdon.

The whole school came together to be presented with a special award – ‘The Mayor’s Prize’ given to Pencombe CofE Primary at the Bromyard Tree Festival for the Pencombe Prayer Tree.

 

The children asked the following questions which the mayor was happy to answer:

What is the hardest part of being a mayor?

What is the best part of being a mayor?

When did you become mayor?

How did you become mayor?

 

Mayoress Franklin was particularly touched by a prayer written by Lewy in Pippin class who wanted a dumper truck! Mayoress Franklin was so impressed that she awarded the school with a dumper truck to keep! Lewy and Pippin class were thrilled!
