Oak class had a lovely afternoon at the coppice this week, continuing to whittle the poles for their structures before carefully hammering them into position.

 

Next week, the class will continue building their Ancient Egyptian ‘shadufs’ by learning how to tie and secure string to bind the structures together.

 

The children showed great perseverance, teamwork, and resilience throughout the session and are excited to see their project taking shape.

 

They also made time for some games and digging, making the most of the outdoor environment while developing their practical and social skills and having lots of fun!
