Yesterday, the whole school celebrated Victory in Europe Day to mark the official end of World War II in Europe, when Nazi Germany unconditionally surrendered to the Allied forces.

The children began with a commemoration at the local memorial led by Reverend Sidwell. Everyone saw the raising of the flag and sang the National Anthem with the Pencombe community.
For lunch, it was a special Union Jack lunchbox!
At the end of the day, the school all came together to celebrate, listening to music of the time, waving their flags and eating cake!
