The 12-Bar Blues In Oak Class

In music, Oak class are learning about The Blues as part of their Atlantic Slave Trade topic.

Enslaved people sang songs that later influenced the blues to express their struggles, and hopes. These songs, rooted in African traditions, helped them cope, communicate, and find strength during the conditions they were faced with.

This week, the focus of the lesson was the ’12-bar blues’ so it seemed obvious for them to practice with their ukuleles!
