Autumn never begins in Pippin class until the children collect conkers! Miss Best talked to the children about them before they set off to collect their own. We are so lucky at Pencombe to have all of natures’s gifts around us and wonderful, kind neighbours who let us visit their fields.

The children went to the local “Forest School Coppice” to see the hens and assess the nettles, then had a quick inspection of the stepping stones prior to their next adventure. Wellie walks will take place every Monday, weather permitting!

They were then able to use their findings to help with their numbers and counting – what a wonderful way to use nature in learning! Excellent work Pippin class!
