At Pencombe CE Primary School, we aim to provide young people with the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthily, safely, productively and responsibly. We encourage all our pupils to play a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community through our school council, fundraising events, supporting both local and national charities and involvement in community activities e.g. carol singing in the community, collecting Harvest produce for local charities, and community coffee mornings.
Values education is embedded through-out our school and the themes for our assemblies develop confidence, self-motivation, and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities within society, so that they feel safe and can manage their lives today and in the future.
PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) and SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) are taught through lessons, assemblies and through other subjects, as well as through educational visits and visits from external agencies such as NSPCC and Herefordshire Council Road Safety Department and The Midlands Air Ambulance.
