My Name is Lizzie Davies, and I am the Manager and SENCO of the Pre-school. I have worked in early years for a number of years and I joined Pencombe Under Fives in 2012. I hold a Foundation Degree Arts in Early Years, and level 2 & 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development. I am also qualified in Paediatric First Aid. I am the Safeguarding Lead and a have had a lot of experience with supporting children who have speech and language delay and children with English as an addition language. I really enjoy working with children and families to provide a high standard of care and education. I have two grown up children and a grandson. I love being in the garden as I enjoy the outdoors and I live on farm.
My name is Katie, and I am the deputy manager here at Pencombe Under-Fives and group leader for our baby and toddler group. I hold the CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Dducation Level 3. I have a Paediatric First Aid qualification. I have joined Pencombe in 2022 as deputy and have run the baby and toddler group for the past five years. I have 20 years experience of working with children and have worked in most aspects of childcare. I enjoy being able to watch the children grow and learn and being a big part of their development. In my spare time I am kept very busy with my three children. We have sheep and poultry so most of my time is spent looking after the animals which my children love to help with. I also enjoy getting crafty whether it be sewing or baking.
My name is Charlotte, and I am a Pre-School SEN Assistant. I have a National Diploma in Early Years Level 3. I have several years’ experience in early years beginning in 2007 and I began here at Pencombe Under-Fives in 2017. In 2021 I stepped down from my role to take a different career path but have recently returned to Pencombe Under-Fives to take on the SEN Assistant role. I have a Paediatric First Aid qualification. I particularly enjoy being outdoors with the children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and taking my children to their extra curriculum activities.
My name is Mandy, and I am a Pre-School Assistant and Deputy Safeguarding Lead here at Pencombe Under-Fives. I have worked in early years for several years and began working for Pencombe Under-Fives in 2010. I have a Paediatric First Aid qualification. I particularly enjoy getting artistic with the children, role play activities and creating display boards with the children's creations. I have three children of my own and three grandchildren with another one on the way. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with the family, reading and floristry.
My name is Lydia, and I am a Pre-School Assistant. I hold a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, and I am currently working towards my Early Years Educator Level 3 and Forest School qualification. I am qualified in Paediatric First Aid. I joined Pencombe Under-Fives in November 2021. I am really enjoying working in early years and feel it’s a very rewarding job helping children thrive. I particularly enjoy planning crafts, providing messy play activities and being outdoors with the children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going on days out and attending events. I am currently pregnant and am expecting the arrival of a baby boy in November which is very exciting. I look forward to returning to Pencombe Under-Fives after my maternity leave to continue my early years journey and to achieve my qualifications.
My name is Katy, and I am a SEN Assistant and Pre-School Assistant. I am qualified in Level 1 and 2 Childcare and mental health trained in young people. I am trained in Special Needs and equality and diversity. I also hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification. I joined Pencombe Under Fives in 2021. I have a lot of experience with children all ages and all types of needs. I love working with children and watching them flourish. I really enjoy getting messy with the children, I love the children learning through plan in unique ways. I am also a mum of two daughters, we enjoy being outdoors and active.
